is there any difference,or power gains in a 4-1 header over a 4-2-1 header? got a 4-1 dc header on my gsr now,but the bottom is completely smashed adn its old as hell so im gettin a new one.

 

4-1 is more for high end power and 4-2-1 is for low end power

 

ive always heard that,but im not sure if its really a noticeable difference,like driveability or not.

 

i owned a one piece before yeah didn't feel the difference but mpg went up

 

ive got a 4-2-1 one piece header on my gsr right now. i didnt really feel any difference in performance after i put it on cuz you dont get too much HP out of it. but i did notice that my car has a deeper sound during idle and sounds a bit meaner when the secondaries open up. i suggest you try out the 4-2-1 header since youve already got a 4-1 header, and make sure you get a stainless steel one for the bling factor in your engine bay and because it wont crack on you...

 

stick with the 4-1
2 of my buddies switched over from 4-2-1 to 4-1 after driving my car. the 4-1 is a good combo with the short ram intake. 4-1 header for top end and short ram to pick up the low end
