true, but not for this car. i have exhaust leaks like crazy b/c people cant weld very good, and there is alot of back pressure at 9400 rpm

id just like to find a cheap combo so itll still roar, but with no leaks!

so i raise the question: to rev that high SAFELY, you must have had alot of work and money invested into that motor....so then why:

actually theres no motor work that i know of.
intake, intake manifold, throttle body, headers, test pipe, exhaust, underdrive pulleys, a 'Jun' chip, stage 3 clutch, Spoon vtec controller. thats pretty much all the mods it has. still no probs revin that high.

but anyways, any good high flows that fit good headers??
i cant sink much money into it as i did my lude, but im tryin to keep this car at least runnin till i can start savin for a type r. i just hate buyin $300 DC headers that run just as good as 'megan' headers.

You're going to blow your motor. Just save the money you were going to spend on a new one.

i dont think she will blow just yet. shes runnin real strong. on top of that, i did a CLT and got 18-22 on all 4 cyliders. mobil 1 is the only oil ever put in it as well. then again, i dont redline her on the daily like i see some kids do. its got 209,000 on it... ive never seen another b18c1 with that many (on original parts).

either way, is there a guide somewhere that can tell me which cats fit what headers?

9400 RPm's is a high rev in the first place did you remove your red line safty? my first qwuestion is why rev that high at all? b18c1 should hit the limiter at 7.9/8.1 its good its still runnig at all putting that much pressure on it.. 200k is nothing for a honda as long as you maintain the TLC and some PM on her..

i got a set that i bought it totaled about 190 for the pipe and cat/test pipe.. its not to smart to go test pipe m8 its a pain for my to get a inspection plus theres a massive fine if you get caught on the road with it.. dont tihnk some cops dont know about cars and will not hesitate to look under your car for a cat.. just save and get a high flow legal cat theres not a huge difference plus you will not go over 100 DEb's witch sounds good and isnt to ear rattleing.. you wannsa have some convo's in you car dont you :0
