my friend has a 99 gsr and he has a DC Sports stainless steel header. he has major rusting by the TIG weld and i was wondering what was causing the problem. also, would there be anyway to fix it or anything like that. thanks.

same problem here except mines is rusting further out from the weldings

this is a problem that i have had happen to me, and have heard many others with the same thing (dc headers rust sometimes, SS or not). if you want to know how i fixed it...... i bought a set of comptechs, that's how i fixed it.

so the problem is just the quality of the DC header?

 

why not try some metal polish? I had the same issue, that cost me $2.89 to fix

 

damn I have a DC Sports header on my otha car.. I'm going to take a look next time I have it on jack stands
