How much are you willing to fork out?
A turbo manifold will be cheaper in the end...

I'm going with SMSP.

Awesome header. Expensive though.

What are your goals for the car?
depending on how much hp you want to make, theres a few routes you can go.

I have looked into a turbo setup, but rignt now my teg is my daily driver, so it has to be reliable, i might go turbo later, but i was wanting to build the head now. overall right now i have about $1300 to spend on the IM, header, and possibly cams. I think i could get the head worked cheap...

If the car is a daily driver, you will probably want a 4-2-1 design instead of a 4-1. The 4-1 will give you more peak power at high RPM but the 4-2-1 will give you a nice fat midrange which is where you spend most of your time on the street. I've tried a few different ones and I eventually settled on the Greddy 1 piece stainless steel 4-2-1. I love it and my car is used for mostly auto-x and track days now. If I ever convert it to race ITA and/or H4 I'd go for the SMSP but in my opionion it's major overkill for a street car.

What about using the 4-2-1 with the skunk 2 intake main? cause the IM if designed for mid-hi rpm range power gains, would a 4-1 suite the IM better than a 4-2-1?

The bottom line is, what do you use the car for? Commuting, drag, auto-x, track, or show? If it's commuting or auto-x, get the 4-2-1. If it's drag or track, get the 4-1. If it's for show, get whatever is shinyest. I really don't see the point in getting the Skunk IM unless it's for drag, road racing or show. At least not before doing headwork, cams and throttle body.

neither, if you have a budget and want to make you LS faster then read around and search. Todd (B19coupe) made 175/145 on a budget LS build that only cost him around 1000 dollars and combine that with a b16 or typpe r tranny and i think you would be happy for a daily.
