Default header?

sup guys, do you think that a DC sports 2" 4 into 1 header would be a good buy if I want a high flow engine or is the piping to small. I have a 99 stock GSR but I'm getting a CAI and a HKS full cat with 2,5 " tubing
thanks

ok well if your going to lower the car more than 2" then i would get 4-2-1 which im running because it doesnt sit as low as the 4-1. Watch out for a lot of back pressure with that big of piping also. Your idle will drop but its easily fixed with a screwdriver. And it might be to much of freeflow i think double check, there are a lot of smarter people who know the answer

A 2.5" exhaust is a little too big for your car at this point. I'd go with an effective 2" collector header (Comptech, etc.) mated with a high flow cat and 2.25" or 2.36" exhaust. I'm not a huge fan of the DC header, personally.

Comptech header. More power than all versions of DC headers, better welds, more durable.

Here is a link to the great header test:

Wow, third header thread I've responded to today.
