You can use any bolt, just as long as you get the downpipe and cat to seat together correctly.
My bolts were too rusted, so i took some that were threaded all the way up and just slapped those on. Worked fine. Not sure if the springs are truely necessary though.

no you don't need the springs but it's there for the vibration coming from the engine. any bolts will do as long as it's long enough. the best bet for a gasket is the local muffler shop.

dont know which donut gasket you bought??
pretty sure you need 2.5 inch....
if that isnt what you got... Dave "SMSP" on this board can get them for $13
but that should clear up your problem.

Default Re: header (BulliztyK)

I am having EXACTLY the same problem with the DC Ceramic 4-2-1 header. I HAVE the gasket, and it STILL leaks. Starting to **** me off. Mine has a bit of an alignment problem (had to shove the cat around a lot to get things to mate) and removing the block hanger for the second section seemingly has no effect. Does your DC header line up to the cat properly, or is it a little off? I saw an article some months back in Grassroots Motorsports that they had the same problem, but I can't find it now...

Thanks for your input

Matt

yeah my header is is not line up right either
its a little slanted, but i got the 2 bolts 2 go through. i dont know what size the donut is,
they say its a oem fit 4 the civics and integra
so does that mean it fits, on the DC 4-1 header
