how tight should the I tighten the head down on a boosted LS? I have ARP studs that have been tighten once but not ran, I have a Cometic head gasket and going to plan on running around 280 HP. Stock is 63 ft.lbs. Should i go any higher?

 

I think you torque arp head studs less than oem. Search and you can probably find out.

 

Arp head studs have specific torque specs. Are you using thr arp moly lube with your studs?

 

torque the head bolts in the proper sequence. and then i would re-tighten again with my torque wrench to make sure they are to spec

 

ARP has literature on their website regarding torque specs, I believe. However I would contact them and verify if they are okay to use after being tightened once before but the engine not run since then.
