so I'm about to take my head studs off to remove my head, do I have to buy new head studs or can I reuse the old ones and retorque it?

idk cuz I bought it with an ls/vtec and idk if he changed out the headstuds with aftermarket ones but what if it is OEM? can I reuse it? Vice-Versa for aftermarket?

 

Usually for an ls/vtec you need aftermarket such as ARP headstuds. If they are Arp and depending on mileage; you could reuse them as long as they have don't have alot of miles on them. You should be able to tell by taking off the cam caps.

if they're OEM headstuds you DEFINITELY want to change those out since you're running lsvtec, check out the threads on the studs and see how it looks

 

If they're OEM, you should replace them. Replace them with ARP, with ARP you can remove them again with no damage done. They're stronger studs then OEM and other aftermarket brands.
