Default Hard to explain this prob...

Well the Integra seems to have a problem. When driving around town and on the freeway, sometimes it will jerk forward sometimes worse than others. Its not a shifting problem. The engine will have little throttle response one second and then it will just give it gas. When the car is running I can hear a distinct hiss coming from what seems like the air intake. I was thinking we might have a clogged injector, due to its throttle response. You can push the gas full floor and you will hardly move...then boom the car kicks in and you get full throttle. Need someone to tell me what this problem is and (if possible) how to fix it without bring it to the shop...Thanks for any help

It sounds to me like a clogged injector but you can always put a fuel pressure guage on it to make sure the fuel pump is working right.

or clogged fuel filter but probably an injector. go down to autozone and buys some fuel injector cleaner and put it in your gas tank and run your car and see if that helps the problem. if not then start checking the rest of the fuel system. if that doesnt work try checking to see that all your vacume lines are on also.
