Default handling help!

Hello, I have always been driving on stock suspension on my cars because the handling was always pretty good (E30 and E36 M3). So I don't know much about modding it.

My integra handling is kind of weak. Is there a way to improve the steering response? I'd like to make it handle like an RSX-S if possible. And how can I eliminate that swaying at higher speeds and body roll while turning?

Springs and shock first off.
Sway bar
Upper tie bars
Better tires/wheels
Camber kit(if you get into adjusting it)

the car came with coilovers (yet i see no brand name on them?), which I've adjusted to be a little higher than it was set at (slammed down). it's an LS with GS-R rims, kind of worn tires.

They could be crap coilovers. maybe a picture of them would help. I am sure someone one on HT will be able to tell what type they are.

So you have 15 rims, that is a start. Now get some good tires. I think(i could be wrong) that a 205/50 will fit on the stock rim. But ask around about that one.

Swap the rear sway bar out. I just got a USDM ITR rear sway for mine. I have not put it on yet. But do a search and you will find some good info on it, and the BSQ kit.

I really liked the front upper strut bar on my teg. the rear did not do a lot IMHO. I also put a lower rear on, but i did not notice any difference, but i like the look of it.

get some real springs, and some nice shocks (don't skimp here!), and yes, the 205/50/15 will work great, put a pair of those on the front and a pair of 195/55/15's on the back. the stock wheels a light enough to be decent. finally, and this is a must, get the Type-R rear sway bar. search and you can find out what stuff you need, it's like $10 or less at ACE or any other hardware store, plus, of course, the bar is special order at your nearest Acura dealership and costs about $75 brand new. also, in order to have this hatchback handle those high-speed corners better, you'll need to stiffen the chassis. some weak points are the trunk area in general and the area under the front fenders where the front end meets the firewall.
now go forth and prosper, and the gods of grip shall look down upon you, and smile.

thank you all for the help!

what are the strut/tie bars usually made of? i bought some off ebay (no-name) for cheap, and they are made of aluminum. i assume they are all the same (how can u go wrong in making a bar of metal?). it should not perform any worse than a mugen right?

i will try to get a pic of the coilovers tomorrow...

they are red with red springs and this gold ring that adjusts the height of the car, if that helps at all

rear sway bar is going to help a lot with the understeer 22mm (itr rear sway spec) or higher if u want. and get some stiffer spring to get rid of the body roll ominpower maybe or custom rate gc on koni yellow. or maybe some buddyclub coilovers or maybe some zeals. im not sure if going with a 205 is a good idea 195 will help with response / turn in but i dont know too much.

a good 205/50 will be great for turn-in. i get used ones locally for like $70/pair mounted and balanced, and they last a few months. haven't been running them recently, and they're sorely missed. also, as an added bonus, the 205/50 is slightly wider than the [stock] rim, so they will break away from traction more smoothly than the 195/55. it's the little things that add up to nice handling/balance. you just need a setup that you drive confidently with, and smooth breakaway i think is a big +++. try to ask around for what tires have certain properties.
