after i changed my guage cluster to carbon fiber my gas meter is acting weird its always 1/4 of a tank over, the light turns on when it needs to but i still have a quarter tank showing when im on empy and when im a full tank it goes all the way to the letter F, anyone know what this can be from or how i might be able to fix it, thanks!

 

you probably contacted the needle or the little spindle/rod when you put in the new guage panels or if you popped them off to install the guages you probably put them on wrong so its mis calibrated.. I know all too many people who have messed up their guages (either the guages are off, or get stuck) trying to install guage cluster panels or indiglos..

nope thats why I don't mess w/ indiglos and such... did you take your needles off? you might want to fill your tank to FULL until it spews out a little so you know its FULL... then turn ignition to ON or drive home so you know the mechanism would have raised the needle and brought the level to full/registered theres a full tank.. then pop the needle off and press it back on to F position.. I really don't know I've never messed w/ my guages before for this specific reason.. I've seen too many people mess up their guages ...I've heard the guages and that spindle in the middle that moves the needles are quite delicate
