gsr problems

Default gsr problems


after installing a new fuel filter, plugs wires, cap, and rotor i started the car and when i hit the gas it studders for a few seconds then goes, it does not have the power it did either, any idea what this might be?

Are all of the wires coming off of the cap going to the right plugs maybe???

did you remove the distributor, maybe to get the rotor screw out? If so your timing may be off.

yes, when i took the cap off i could not get the rotor screw out unless i turned it over till the screw was were the opening is to get it off, that should not **** up the timing tho because timming is done with the timing belt and that was not fucked with correct?

we are talking ignition timing, the distributor can be adjusted by loosening the bolts and turning it, but to do so you have to jump your diagnostic plug above your ecu, and you also need a timing light. Or if you are lucky you may be able to see where the bolts were before on the distributor, just set it there.

i didnt **** with those settings, and it ran fine before, its only since i changed that ****

did you just put the distributor back in, or were you carefull to put it back in EXACTLY how it was before, 1/4 inch turn either way will throw your igition timing off 10, 15 maybe 20 degrees.

never took my distributer off, i put the cap and rotor on, with the distrubuter on the car
