Default Gsr Problem

I bought my car with a swap. It was originally a 98 ls but the dude that i bought the car from told me the car had a swap before him. The swap is from a 00 gsr. MY question is, what is everyone's mph when you are in first gear at 4 rpm. Mine is at 20 mph. I feel that this is slow and i have in doubt that this is a genuine GSR. Block code says its a gsr but other than that im not sure..

Well, if the block says it's a GSR, then there's really nothing to doubt.

20 mph in first gear sounds about right to me. I cant imagine an Integra going much faster in 1st gear.

well, 1st gear is the same on pretty much every B series hydro transmission sold in north america, so that's not a good gear to compare rpms in. btw, 4000 rpm at 20mph in 1st gear is right.

what is your speed in 5th gear at 60mph and 80mph?

a GSR trans should be about 3000rpm at 60 and 4000rpm at 80 in 5th gear.

Which tranny is in it? That could affect what your speedo says at a given rpm

which block it is has just about nothing to do with how fast you go in 1st gear, that's a matter of which transmission you have. If you're complaining that 20 mph at 4k rpm is too slow, realize that the GSR is supposed to have a tighter gear ratio for better acceleration, so higher RPM at lower speeds is a GOOD thing.

b16/itr tranny's have shorter gears throughout

I AM right. The transmissions that don't have the 3.23 first gear were neither hydro, nor sold in north america.
