Default Gsr head cylinder 2 with gouges.

Sup guys I have a gsr that dropped a competition plus valve and made some gouges in the combustion chamber cylinder 2.

is this ok to smooth out or is it trashed?

LS Vtec:
Gsr head with complete ferrea valve train and stock size ferrea competition plus valves

81.5mm weisco 9.3cp pistons

CTR cams with adjustable blox cam gears ( Intake +2*\ Exhaust 0*) had to set intake to compensate for ignition timing to 16* )

Bad gouge near bottom left side of exhaust valve.

Cylinder 2 piston all fudged up and scratched cylinder wall

Anything is fixable... the question is "Is it worth it ?" That will require extensive welding, smoothing, seats, guides, and valves. Expensive.

Yea it ain’t worth it lol.

You think the ctr cams had anything to do with the broken valve hitting the piston or spark plug?

I hit 5-6k rpm on only 8lbs of boost and then let it rev down by itself and as I was turning off the highway then it just shuts offs. “ I’m thinking holy shiet not another valve issue!!! “

My buddy Joe can fix that! I've seen him fix heads 10x worse than that! He is the best and very well known on the west coast!

Search ALANIZ Racing Heads on Facebook and give Joe a message.

He quoted me $180 to repair this head,

Yes, it's his recondition service at $180 If you need it to look like new price goes way up.

I'm sure yours will be in the same ballpark, just send him pics and ask what you want done.

Shipping depends on where you're at. I'm local but to ship it may be around $150 to $200. You can even use R&L carriers and strap it to a pallet and have them ship it. I shipped a few long blocks I built and sold years ago but they are an option.
