gsr engine w/type R tranny?

gsr engine w/type R tranny?
is it possible to put a type R tranny on a GSR engine and if it can be done is it worth it? by this i mean will the car run properly and will it do big difference on the performance of the car?

For questions like this, use the search button. I'll answer your question anyways though. Yes, you can use a ITR tranny on a GSR, for that matter, any b-series tranny will work on any other b-series motor. itr trannies have lsd's in them, which can increase the car's performance. Your best bet is to search, and figure out what the diferences are.

the biggest difference you will feel is the gearing
ITR:
1st: 3.23
2nd: 2.105
3rd: 1.458
4th: 1.034
5th: 0.787

yeah it will work for sure. i just had a type r tranny put into my gsr. it is definately a worth-while mod, but its kinda expensive. my brand new tranny and exedy clutch/flywheel installed cost me as much as a good turbo kit.
