Default GSR Dyno: ITR cams/header blox IM, tuned w/Chrome

169.6 hp 121.2hp!!!
Those be the corrected #'s! How cool is that? It would have went 170 if I would have stayed in it longer

I'm so freaking thrilled right now, I dunno what to say.

Here's my original dyno

Here's todays...

Here's the runs..

Thats me in the red long sleeve shirt.

When I get to work, I'll get a better comparison, as I have winpep and the dyno files saved on my puter

With cam tuning, a non dented header and a lil better tune, I dare say I could see 175 at the wheels. But I'll never know cause the snail will be goin on the end of next month I know people have put down more w/similar/same setup, but I don't care. When I got the car, it wasn't even making stock GSR #'s: Not it's making, to the wheels, what it's suppose to do from the factory at the flywheel. I'm happier with my car now than I've ever been.

Can't wait till the turbo's on

Enj0y!

I'm guessing you have a 4-1 header since you said its dented?

I know how it is but I bet yours isnt as bad as mine...

Not bad... my 94 gsr with an aem sri, skunk2 im, ctr intake cam, dc header, greddy exhaust, chipped p28 ecu with one of my generic programs (not tuned) pulled 167whp and 132lbs of torque. Wonder what my numbers would've been after tuning.... Your car has really come along though!

what did you do to the fuel and timing maps versus the stock p72? i'm guessing you brought timing on a little earlier. did you have to lean the idle out at all?

nice gain...wheres the vtec at? 5600 or 5700 seems like. I have a similar setup: blox manifold, type a cams, dual valvesprings and jdm 4-1. im running a jdm p73 and a vafc2 though.

Nice numbers....but how much "tuning" was actually done? The AFR is all over the place and the vtec engagement looks like it is set a few hundred rpms too high.

I wouldn't get hung up on the numbers too much. For your setup, those are great numbers and it is widely known that some dynos read higher than others, so the numbers should be a ballpark for similar setups, not a direct comparison.

Nice improvements. Your first graph has a really nice A/F line, nice and flat. Your newer tune could use a bit more work.
My GSR with a GSR intake manifold with GSR cams made 173whp/131tq.
I would think your car has more in it. Get that header fixed.

you guys really can't compare these HP numbers unless it was the same dyno and same air temp. mustang dynos, dynojets and air temps will have numbers all over the place. mustang dynos always read lower and the cooler it is outside the more power you will make.

^seriously people. its all about the gain from a baseline dyno of YOUR car. peak numbers mean nothing. dynos and engines have too many variables.

Looks good dude. The way the graph was dropping off at the end, you wouldn't have hit 170hp. There is a certain RPM where the hp peaks, so it doesn't matter how high you go if it already hit the peak.

first and only time ive dyno'ed so far was 165/119 on gsr just i/h/01 itr cams/skunk2 IM on a borrowed ecu running 10-11:1 a/f with 5k vtec(too low, dropped 5whp before it started going up again) this was on stock cat/exhaust also... another dyno day on friday, have a lot more done, looking towards the 180-190's untuned(was gonna get tuned on my new ecu[s300]that came today with cam timing, but after my tranny taking a dump, tune money went to getting a replacement that im getting tonite) oh well

a good stage 1 cam like the skunk2 tuner1 or crower 401 along with the blox/skunk manifold, compression in the high 10s and a slightly altered p73 map has been the 30mpg, 180whp build for awhile. also a great one to copy since so many people have built it. i'm driving around on one myself and know more HP could be had with a real tune over my p73 ecu and a 2.5" collector header.

nice teg, good to see it all coming together

i was able to get my gsr to 175/121tq on itr 4-1 w/2.5in collector, itr cams and stock b16a computer a/f set 12.7 -13 across the board, and a skunk2 i/m and apexi WS2 exhaust, ran like a champ.

I wouldn't get to hung up on the numbers your car makes...for starters you're on a DynoJet which notoriously reads high. A better indication of power creation would be some track times and trap speeds. Also, a comparison with the stock setup would give you a good idea of the worth of the modifications you've done.
