Ground Controls squeak ?
I am getting rid of my SKUNK2 coilovers on my 96 Integra and considering some ground controls.
Anybody know if they squeak like the SKUNKS?
On a side note..
I bought the car with the SKUNK2 on it, so I am uncertain if its the coilovers or the camber kit squeaking. Fairly certain its the coilovers because the back squeaks too and there is not kit back there.
TIA.

do you know if this is a common problem with all Skunk2 coilovers...I thought these were quality adjustable springs and i was 95% certain on getting them in a couple of weeks...
Have you heard better things about Ground Controls???

Not sure about that, but I would not reccomend the SKUNKS. Way too stiff for me.

I have ground control's with custom rates (400f/300r), and the ride is very tolerable in my opinion, but the roads in my area are pretty damn smooth. As for squeeking, my ground controls do not squeek one bit, the ITR swaybar on the otherhand......that's a whole different story.
Get the ground control/koni combo, you won't be disappointed.

I have Tokico blues which are in excellent shape. They should be more than sufficiant for street use. I bought the car with the SKUNKS and Tokicos on it and cannot wait to get rid of the SKUNKS. Possibly replace the blues too.
I have heard lots of great things about Ground Control though. Just wondering about the squeaks...
Thanks for the input.

Do you have any Eurathane bushings? I ahve Skunks and they don't squeak for me. I've had them on for about 3 weeks now and they rock. A little stiff but you get used to it after a while.
This is the only thread I can find about squeaking Ground Controls.. Just installed GCs 400/400 with Koni Yellows on my GSR and all 4 corners squeak over every bump. WTF? Should I just lube the polyurethane hat with silicon? What else could possibly be the problem? The car isnt lowered more than 1.5"-2" (mild drop).
OE Rubber Bushings right now too.

Ive read a lot of complaints about the SKUNK2 about how crappy they are, but I rarely hear any complaints about the GCs, so thats why I got those wid agx shocks, the rides nice and smooth, but it also doesnt squeak or make any noises
I have GC. Mine squeaks sometimes. A bit more than what I like but, when it rains, SQUEAK, SQUEAK, SQUEAK! What can I do to stop this. This is annoying!
i had the same problem with my GCs too. my right rear side would "pop" or flop like it was being unloaded whenever i pulled up my driveway. i think it's because of the way the frame is, when you turn right onto an incline, the right rear will tend to lift off or at least decrease the load dramatically in that corner. at least that's what i think it was. it never happened when i was turning left into my driveway though. probably b/c i didn't turn at as wide of an angle when turning left. overall, i was satisfied with my set of GCs, and plan to buy another set again. (i sold them for springs
).
