Default grade 8 headstuds

this is kind of a random question but i thought it was a plausible one.....
there is a bolt wearhouse where i live an i was wondering if instead of using arp headstuds could you use grade 8. now i no the wont be as strong as arp and arp is better and all that stuff, but they have to be stronger than oem honda bolts am i right? basicly as a money saver would it work and if not why.
by the way its a LS. bone stock bottem end running light boost on a small turbo. port polished and flowed and little goodies like that. soon it will have cams but thats about it till i get rich and famous rich being the key word

I used dorman grade 8 when doing my skunk2 IM and hondata gasket. works just fine. not sure how it would affect the head though.

no reason it wouldnt work bro. go for it!!!

infact it might extend the longevity of ur headgasket.. just make sure to torque to spec and tighten in proper sequence

If the bolts are stronger than stock and have the same thread pattern, i see no reason why they wouldn't work. You really dont need headstuds for a lower hp stock block application, but it never hurts to be a little cautious. On my setup, i've made 315whp for 2 seasons with a completely stock block and no ARPs
