gettin HEADERS

Re: gettin HEADERS (4drGS-R)
i think u should just get 1 header first and see how much that helps ... i dont think you'll get any more power out of headers on ur car.
but as for your question people around here love comptech 4-2-1 i personally have a dc sports ceramic 4-2-1 and have no complaints.

If you want some real power, get the JDM-4-2-1 headers, everything else dont not get. DC are hella wack, overpriced for sorry ****. I had dc i couldnt feel anything sold it and bought me some jdm, feels hella better and you can feel more power.

Re: gettin HEADERS (m2slsvtec)
if you want more top end power, i would get a 4-1. if you want more midrange, get a 4-2-1. there's more details beyond that, obviously, but i would make that choice first.
btw...
head·er n. (hdr) 3. A pipe that serves as a central connection for two or more smaller pipes.
a 4-2-1 has 3 headers, and a 4-1 has only one. so maybe he does want headers
reference

Re: gettin HEADERS (4drGS-R)
I had a Ceramic 4-2-1 header for my D15B7 and it cracked within weeks, so I had a muffler shop weld it for $20.00. DC Sports told me to take it off the vehicle (my only transportation) and then ship it to him to have it welded and ship back to me at my expensive. WTF ? You shitty product F*@K Up and now I have to pay with more $$ and time .
Then after my swap, I ended up selling it on ebay.
DC Sport in my book.
In 1996 I bought a RS*R exhaust sytem from Racing Beat and 5 years down the road I had a leak on the welds near the muffler.
So I called Racing Beat about the leak, to my surprise they told me to drive down to Anaheim (Racing Beat is located) and they will exchange the muffler section right away.
I was so surprise that they would replace it for me after 5 years of usage. Now, 3 years later no problems at all.

Re: gettin HEADERS (millertime55)
honestly, im just gonna shut my mouth on this one, sometimes i wonder if people start certain topics just to get people like me to say something mean and stupid. i here the DC- JDM - 4-1 is really good for the cost. I would go with Header-tech header, or soon to be changed to a different name, but yea, header-tech is a pretty good deal, its about 650 dollars, but it makes really good power. baller style would be SMSP or Hytech, but i dont think a 1200 header is worth it unless your trying to break records in speed...

Re: gettin HEADERS (4DooRGiSzer)
If you're just looking for a decent cheap header, DC is fine. I have a 4-2-1 and love it. Theyre fine for mild mods like basic boltons. If you get into internal work like cams, pistons, etc, a lot of people go for the JDM 4-1 header Another plus about the JDM 4-1 is the heatshield will make it pretty unnoticable, and you can get the skid plate if your car is low

Re: gettin HEADERS (4drGS-R)
i have the DC stainless steel 4-1 on my db8. it's alright~. you can't really feel a big difference with 4-1 unless you're already @ high speed. i'd suggest getting 4-2-1 if you want more of the mid-low end help, which would help with our poor low-end torque cars. arrrg~
also, mine got scraped a lot cuz my car used to be pretty low... so be wary of how low certain headers sit before you choose one.

Good header on STOCK motor= maybe 5whp
Generic Header on STOCK motor = maybe 3-5 whp at most ..
point = header waste of money unless your going all out all motor...spend the 500 bucks on a nitrous kit and **** on people who just bought a 1000 dollar header. Or put it toward boost. i went the I/H/E route and straight up before i did anything else to my car...after that i went to nitrous i was like wow i wasted money on those parts.. then i went turbo and realized.. wow i wasted money on all those nitrous refills. im getting carried away now. this is all just my opinion btw
