Default Gauges Question quick!!

I ordered reverse indiglo gauges for my 97 RS and the redline starts at 7400.
I think they sent the wrong ones, but GS-R's redline starts at 8000 or higher, right?

On my stock RS, the redline starts at 6800. So is there another 'tegra model that I'm not aware of?

Arent all Ls/Rs/Gs all the same with different options?

All I know is GSR and the TypeR has Vtec and redlind above 8 grand.

any info please
thanx in advance

All of the VTEC equipped American Tegs redline over 8000 (8200 GSR and 8400 Type R). All the Non-VTEC tegs share the same motor (the B18B1 in the G3) and that motor rev limits at 7200. They could be the wrong gauges, check them out when you get them, send em back if they are wrong.

dang, just visited their website, and the GSR gauges have redlines above 8 grand...while others labeled as LS/RS/GS 94+ are all redlined at 7400.

Guess I'll install them, and hope I don't get carried away while shifting and rev over the limit.

Btw, my RS has redline starting at 6800. But you say the rev limit is at 7200...so it's possible to rev to 7200 in my RS?
Not that I'll try, but it would be nice to know.

So in the eyes of the engineer, he determined that it was perfectly safe to rev to 6800, not destructive to rev to 7200, but anything above that, all bets are off.
