Default Flywheel problem?

1998 Integra GSR, stock for the most part.

RECENTLY i've noticed my clutch will slip under WOT. It won't slip anytime else, like normal driving conditions, only under full throttle. My clutch has plenty of meat left on it. The only thing I've done recently to my car was a new CMC. I had a shop install it, maybe this has something to do with it? Or is my flywheel conveniently going up?

Any suggestions would help, thanks in advance.

Your clutch is failing, thats all their is to it. Disc is worn out or pressure place springs are worn. A master or slave wont cause issue like that.

agree

buy a new clutch kit and be done with it

if your flywheel is warped out of true it also could be promoting this since the clutch face would never sit flush against the disc. even if this is the case, get a new clutch since you will have beat the hell out of yours with the warped flywheel.

there are inexpensive ways to bite the bullet

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/EXEDY...#ht_2667wt_933

this is actually a great kit for 180-190whp or less that does not use slicks.

Funny thing is that I had bought a clutch kit a few weeks ago but the problem turned out to be the CMC so I returned it. Figures once I return it my clutch starts to slip fml

You can resurface the flywheel and pressure plate depending on condition. And get a new organic disc.

But I would just sug replacing the clutch and resurfacing the flywheel.

W/ the proper Attachments you can attach the pressure plate using the mounting bolts for the flywheel in a reverse pattern.

I've only did it at the school I went to, and Ive heard for only a few shops actually performing that work but it is possible to do.

I have basically the same kit and it's a great deal. Should last +60-70k and the flywheel improves performance noticeably. Hard to beat for $250.

Yeah the kit I had bought previously was $220, but didn't come with a flywheel. I'm assuming my flywheel is in decent enough shape to resurface, but hell for $30 more might as well get a brand new one.

Stock flywheel can be resurfaced if it isn't too bad, but aftermarket flywheels can't. But IMO the light flywheel is worth every penny from a performance standpoint.

Do you think it might be how the CMC was adjusted? The clutch engagement point is REALLY high off the floor.

If this 100% can't be the problem, it's definately my clutch going up, because it's slipping more regularly.
