Default first step: suspension setup

watsup guys, i jus piced up a stripped 94 gs-r. i'm looking to upgrade the suspension right off the bat engine upgrades can come later. I plan on using this car mainly as a DD but still wanna be able to cut some backroads for fun w/o worrying too much about ending up in some ditch. here's what i was thing about to start off with:

-ground control co w/ koni yellows
-susp tech lower tie bar (or any recomendation?)
-front and rear strut tower bars (any recomendations?)
-susp tech poly-urethane bushings
-omni power LCA(eventually)

thanks for any help
P.S. if you know any websites that i can order this stuff from that'll be great i'll post some pics of my car once i figure out how to do it

List sounds good. Maybe add a Type R rear sway bar w/ beaks or bsq kit, or even the ASR because you're also adding a rear tie bar. I would also change out the LCAs when you are doing the struts because you will already be halfway there. If you're going to do them anyway, just do it all at once. For the strut bars, password makes some really nice multiple point pieces, I would look into those, because they are a decent price and excellent quality.

Also go to the sponser marketplace on this forum, there are a lot of parts you can buy for cheap.

A good wheel/ tire combo along with some quality shocks/ springs should be your first step. Then get an ITR sway bar with a beaks/ bsq subframe reinforcement kit. Lastly, worry about strut bar and tie bars and trunk bars. A stock GSR strut should be all you need. I would also get some sort of camber kit in the front if you are going to have the car sit really low, skunk2 would be your best bet.

ok so how about this setup to start of skunk2 coilovers w/ koni yellows, ITR sway bar, and camber kit most likely skunk2 also. That sounds like it can hold me down for a while.
do you think the skunk/koni setup will be bouncy or it should be pretty flat?

I use ground controls and im about to get kyb agx's... im also gonna sell my suspension techniques swaybar/tiebar/subframe reinforcement kit and run the 22mm itr rear sway w/ beaks kit and I already have SRR LCAs installed so... i'd say do all that cuz im doing it lol

you're setup idea sounds nice, i'd go with the asr subframe reinforcement and ITR bar if you have the funds

What was wrong with the ground controls? Maybe even look into full coilover sets like omni or tein.

400/500 ground controls with konis is where I would start. Tires after that.

Konis are good, stick with konis, search around the suspension forum for your answer. It will be there.
