LS vtec sucks man its a huge ripoff...if u really want the "V-TECHHHHHHH POWAAAA" get a new engine otherwise turbo your car. For the amount of an LS vtec you could put together a damn good custom kit. If ur lookin for an exhaust that all depends on whether u wanna go turbo or not. Get a 3 inch thermal exhaust if u wanna go turbo, but if u wanna stick to all motor RSR exmag is a sick exhaust and its real quiet (just about as quiet as stock).

Just remember

TURBO>LSVTEC

ok...lets get the facts ls/vtecs arent sold be a company so how can they be a rip-off? if they are built properly and not just thrown together they can last. but back to the topic if you need info on the ls/vtec conversion youll see that ppl had alot of sucess with the set-up done right. but i think one of the best mods to do on the car would be a pretty basic suspension set-up. when i first got my car i did the normal intake and exhaust and a year and a half later when i put my suspension on i realized that , that mod by far is one that i could tell the difference in the car. it not only helps with handleing it also makes the car look so much better...now on any other cars i get im doing suspension first good luck with the Da

i just meant by the time you put them together and get it to run properly, you might as well just get a different engine. I mean unless there are some extenuating circumstances where u run into a vtec head somehow.

ok you got me suspension
first i want to make it clear that i want it to be a Rice Killer, and that i dont have that much money for parts at the moment, i think this is an old car and dont plan to do much to it unless its like on an engine i can swap into a newer teg
so suspension what is best?
adjustable coil-overs? cut springs? coil-over? i think i need a polyurethane bushing kit to stop some squeeks, BTW i have donuts on the car what should i get? gsr blades? civic rims or what? i think i will go for 15" 16" or 17"s rims

whoa there tex. by far, the very first mod you will want to do, is get a box cutter razor, and modify the rear sprayer on your hatch. oh wait, you have a da. i dont know if you have one but do it anyway.

dude, you need real suspension. ill be the first one to call your car rice if you cut your stock springs. as for types, theres a lot of different stuff on suspension. just search.

17" and up are for show...

as far as lsvtec is concerned, i would prefer to build a stronger b series in the first place. like say a gsr. let us know what you decide on though.

i think a good starting coil over kit is the omni streets or the tein basic...or you could opt to build your own combo... 2 comboc i know are good are kyb agx's with GC coil overs and the best being koni yellows and koni specific GC coilovers....goodluck

Do a lowering first.

Then, before going out and buying an exhaust and intake, save your money and build a turbo kit from DSM junkers and some custom pieces. Walaa, 250 HP on stock engine with a tuneup and you've spent around 3000 at the most including dyno time.

Don't be fooled. Name brand intakes are a waste of money. Exhaust is expensive, and for the gains you get from that 500 you spent getting your exhaust, you could be 1/2 way to completing your own turbo kit.

Thnk about it. You need piping, intercooler, wastegate, turbo, downpipe, blow off valve, injectors, and a fuel pump and regulator. Used everything costs around 700 if you find good deals, and a custom manifold that you have a shop make you is 150-200.

Intake (3hp)-100
Exhaust (5hp)-500

Turbo(50-100whp)-1000-1500 max!

B16 tranny, then suspension, or vice versa. The tranny will make more of a difference than an Intake, header, exhaust, and highflow cat combined Kinda sucks cruising on the freeway though but Oh well, swap in an LS 5th and you're good to go

Suspension and a new tranny.
Some popular choices for suspension you could look into are the Omnipower coilovers and Koni Yellows/Ground Control's. But for more info, search in the Integra archives and in the Suspension forum.

Turbo is best bang for your buck option, besides motor swap

If you want to drive hard. invest in a reliable breaking system. going fast is great, however stopping is greater.

On a street car, the only thing that might help braking response is steel braided lines. With the stock integra brakes, you can easily get ABS to kick in, so what is the point of spending 1500 on bigger (slower) brakes?

Hehe, my first mod was a motor. I bought a shell(dc2). I took her for her first real drive yesterday and got tags, exhaust, and alignment done. I was happy. Now to start the body work so I can send her to paint shop. I second the suspension idea. I have tokico illuminas and h&r race springs(Came already on the shell). Looks nice and handles awesome.

I think you should lower your car I use ground control coil overs and since you want more power go with a nitrous kit it will be the most power youll notice good luck
