an intake and exhaust will not make you faster. save your money, and go turbo.

honestly, i'd say get a b16 transmission. that'll be more fun than any intake exhaust combo would ever get u.

if its a daily driver and sees the highway regularly, then b16 tranny + LS 5th gear FTW.

the closer ratios in the b16 tranny is preferred for integra owners who compete or want better acceleration. results have been a couple or few tenths off a quarter mile time normally. but this comes with a price, because 80 mph highway driving + b16 tranny(cable tranny, not completely sure about hydro) = 4500 rpms.

torque multiplication plays a huge role in how our relatively low torque output engines produce good amounts of speed...especially in NA format.

for $500 I would invest in some decent tires or suspension and a short shifter. these will make your car that much more enjoyable to drive. I/E won't make your car more fun to drive or much faster but it will be louder. just my .02

defitnatly tranny. trannys are the best upgrade one could do to any car.... get a gsr or b16 tranny or save up another 400 and get a type r so you have lsd...... but defitnatly get a tranny..... if you were to get a cold air intake, headers, exhaust that would probably blow your 500$ or be close to it..... it would make you faster but not much faster... a b16 tranny with its short *** gears would defitnatly make you faster and you would defitnatly enjoy driving more.. i guarantee that. or just get a gsr tranny and you will be quite a bit faster but it will leave you open for different upgrades in the future... like turbo or nos.....

There is no need for a short throw. IMO those are a waste of money. I can shift my car just as fast with a stock shifter.

I agree with the tranny posts. I got a GSR trans into my LS. Love it, I can't even imagine having a B16 tranny in it though. the gsr gears work well personally, for the ls engine.
While you're at it, save up $200 bucks for a lighter flywheel, then **** will be real fun to drive

All he really has to do is get a GSR or B16 3rd & 4th gear and keep his LS 5th for cruising, if he wants he could also swap out the FD.
