Default Exhaust piping and O2 questions...!!!

Hey h-t fellas first off i have 96 LS im just wondering if can just disregard one of the O2 sensor wire coz i have the JDM itr cat converter and Jdm itr header.. and i have 2 O2 wire sensor... and plus would i pass smog too even tho one O2 sensor plugged into the jdm header only not on the cat. ??? please let me know.. thanks in advance..

no, it won't pass smog, and no, it will run funny with one just "hanging out" or something. best thing to do is search for an oxygen sensor "simulator", which makes up phony crap to send to the computer to make it think there's two of them in the exhaust. or just weld a bung on there for the second one. not very hard. <5min.

The car will run perfectly fine with the secondary O2 sensor unplugged or tied up beneath the car. The ECU will trigger a CEL code because of it, but otherwise there won't be any problems at all. As you suggested though, I would personally just have a bung welded into the cat.

I didn't intend to appear condescending, if that's the way it seemed. I believe you were thinking of the primary O2 sensor, which will indeed greatly affect the engine's performance and fuel economy if it is damaged or missing.

Thanks for the help guys.... one more question would i pass SMOG wit these wit 2 sensor on of course ??? with jdm itr exhaust..

I don't see why not. As long as your cat is still functioning properly and your emissions are under the limit, then you should be fine.
