Default Re: engine swap question (01Ntegra)

Prelude motor swaps are definate good ideas only if it has an h22, then the swap would be and awsome start. I wouldnt recomend putting any other type of prelude motor in your car though. It would probably be cheaper to start with dropping a b16 head on your ls block. If you can get a si, or gsr tranny, it wouldnt hurt throwing one on while your under the hood. I have a 99 si. I put on a b18b1 under my head, changed the tranny to gsr with a lsd quife and an integra ls 5th. I ran on that for a while and gave a lot of people a run for their money. I recently did an H22 swap in an 96 hatch, and that was a little work, because of the way the shift linkage is. It actually changes over to cable linkages, so it involves a little welding and some exahust work. You will be doing the same thing if you plan on changing motors out. There are a few other things you are going to have to buy (Obviously) when you do the swap. You are off to a good start, but its really not a great idea. I cant help you with any of the engine codes, because i am unsure what your looking for.
