you could put any b series short block with out changing any motor mounts, reusing a cable b series trans. to work. with the exception of a b20a 2nd gen. prelude. don't forget about you local emissions & regulations.
so i can just use my old tranny, well get a new one but the same cable. and hook it up to any year short block even if its a hydro clutch? sorry i am pretty new to honda's. still tryin to figure them out.
would i have to? probably better to do it. but if i am short on cash...just use the same cable tranny right? but i just make sure i got this right. that i can put any year of b-series motor in my 91 integra

If you put a B-series VTEC in your 'Teg and used the B18A tranny you would have uselessly tall gearing. The easiest swap for you would be a 1st gen JDM B16A or the super hard to find B17 (DA) GS-R motor. Both have cable trans.
