Default engine dimensions

in terms of external dimensions, from the exhaust/header port to the bottom of the oilpan, are ls motors and gsr engines the same?

If they aren't exactly the same they are pretty damn close, the blocks are the same. A b16 has a shorter block.

how about let say a header on one vs. one put in the other, would it be able to be used? of course this is out of the car and on an engine stand.

I sorta remember someone using the wrong header, & they didn't have clearance to the oil pan. But I'm not sure what to search for to find that thread...
