What is the difference between engines of different colours... is it something to do with their revision or perhaps where they are the ex-port model of the engine...

i ask this mainly refering to the B16A engine... my imported Integra XSI has a black one, but every other B!^A i have seen, weather it be from an integra or a civic has been RED!!! whats with that???

i have a jdm b16a in my teg, and it's black, same as yours. the paint on the valve cover is chipping like crazy and i dont give a ****.. i like that vintage feel...

 

your talking about the red and blue, those are stock colors, RED is the only other color that would be found on a b16. Red is found also on the type r motor, and the blue is from the Euro R accord i believe(h22).

Any colors than these are custom done.

 

only motors that came with red valve covers were the type r motors...b18c5, b18c, b18c3, b18c6, b18b and the h22 R motor, the blue covers came on the type s h22, also the red cover cam on the k20a r motors
