Default Engine Building

LS Rod Length 137mm
B17A Stroke 81.4mm
Result 1.68 rod ratio

I have an 97 GSR if I put LS rods and a B17A crank in my B18C block how many millimeters should I bore out my B18C block cuz if I don't then I would just have a B17A engine

i dont think that would work.......you will probably need custom rods for that application...........check with a expert engine builder first before you go doing any serious engine building like that.

don't do it. if u really want to build ur gsr, just stuff it with gsr aftermarket parts -- not ls. u will need a lot of fabrication when it comes to putting ls rods and b17 crank in the gsr. the ls rods won't fit. in order for it to fit u will have to re-locate the wrist pins for the pistons, find the right rods to compliment the b17 crank, make sure that the piston-ls rod-b17 crank combo won't put the pistons way out of the block, find the proper bearings for the said "custom rods", and all that complicated stuff. it's just a headache, imo.

if ur going with a high rod-to-stroke ratio, i would just stick with the gsr. the ratio is already good out of the factory. just put some eagle rods (gsr), and nice aftermarket pistons and all the necessary things to make ur gsr stronger.

hth.
