Emission test failure...
So I took my car in...co2 is too high. My car's been idling funny when I start the car in the morning or when sitting at the light. Anyone have this problem before? The shop wants to charge me $100 to get another test done...and of course there's probably gonna be more charge. Is there a way to pass this thing...maybe a bad sensor?
i put this stuff in my car called Garaunteed To Pass. it woked immediately. you can find it at auto zone or any service station. it is only like 4$ and they will give your money back if you don't pass so you might want to try it
Physically check all ignition components... sparks, plug wires, distrubutor for wear and connections. Clean sparks. Clean throttle body. This should clear up funny idle. If not check for error code. Correct the error - it will pass emission. Doing anything else just to pass emission is like putting a bandage on a infected wound and thinking it is cured.

Is O2 sensor expensive to replace?

I might try that on top of it after I check for all the parts like you guys said

I'll just try what these guys recommended, it's been awhile since I replaced my spark plugs though I changed my wire plugs to NGK blue a month ago.
If not, the guy at the shop is really cool so I'm sure he can help me on it. Thx for the info
Oh and I found out o2 sensor is about $100...eeeep.

Well I found out today the O2 sensor was bad, on top of it, guess what was wrong. The damn ECU!!! The shop said it keeps flashing itself (something is shorted electrically after 2-day diagnostic) so they'll replace it with a used one. Thank god they found a used one (they said they searched nation wide since mine's an automatic which is hard to find) or else I'd be dishing out $900+ for a new ECU.
Damn car problems
What's next...my engine!
