I just bought a 98 acura gs and when i went to get it smoged it wouldn't pass because hommie said it has the wrong computer on it, it turns out it has an ecu for an automatic and mines a manual, lol...thats why i got such a good deal. Anyways, i bought a used ecu over ebay, who knows if i'll ever get it, has anybody dealt with this type of problem. i know nothing about ecus but im learning. Any help you can give me will be of great use. You all rock. I think i need an OBD II, and mines not a vtec

 

u need an obd2 P75 from a 96 and up gs, rs, ls, se... if u have an obd2 p75 auto u could chip it to a maual pretty easy or there are some people on the board that could do it..(do a search).. look at the ecu it tells u on the side if it is a p75 or anything else...
