Default ecu question

does anybody know if a 96+ civic 5spd ecu will work on 98 integra? Because i'm doing a 5spd conversion and i cant find an ecu, so i was wondering if that one will work. I know i can use the automatic one but i dont want too.

As long as the Civic ECU is OBDIIb, as the 98+ Integra is, it should run. I can't say how well, as I haven't tried it.

Some possible issues:
1a) VTEC matching
1b) Civic ECUs do not have a knock sensor (VTEC Integras only)
2) ECU security (key chip)

As mentioned, as long as it's OBD-2B then the car will run. The only issue you should have is the fact that it will run like *** due to it having single cam fuel and ignition maps.
