i have a 98 gsr and it is in the shop because the alternator isnt charging my battery. well, they tested all possible things and they all lead to the ecu. how much do these things cost and can i replace it for a aftermarket one that may be cheaper. can this be the problem, they say the ecu is where the power is distributed throughout the car. is that true. they arent for sure that it is the ecu. so they are trying to find one to test before they are certain. anyone with good advise please let me know. thanks.
