If you want to do it, just remove the negative terminal off the battery. Let it sit for a minute. put it back on, start the car, DONT TOUCH ANYTHING. Let the ECU readjust for everything, do for a minute or so. then shut down. Restart and drive hard. Engine should be recalibrated after one more restart.
You do this to get the ECU to adjust for any changes done to the engine. It helps to adjsut the Fuel curves for the new air flow and all that. thats what I know. Anyone who can expand on this help out.

Once the power is gone, ther is no more power for the ECU to have any memory. NO POWER = NO WAY FOR ANYTHING TO FUNCTION IN YOUR ECU. Cause your ecu needs power to remember anything and do anything. Waht I wrote above is directly from the ACura Dealerships.
