I tried to use an OBD1 P75 ECU and conversion harness on my 2000 LS. Everything works fine except when I put fuel in the car (My car doesn't want to start after fueling up). I can hear the fuel pump prime but it also makes a strange thumping sound on startup.

Any ideas!

 

can you describe the thumbing sound? also, when you plug in your stock ecu now, does it do the same thing or does it fix it?

 

When I put the stock ECU back in it fixes the problem. The thumping noise is difficult for me to describe. It's like putting your tongue in the hole of a beer bottle (and putting your mouth over it as well and try to make a popping sound). I'm being serious, no homo.

I guess there's something wrong with my SVE conversion harness. This is the third ECU conversion harness I've had trouble with. I couldn't get skunk2's conversion harness to work without throwing a CEL and now this one is giving me problems.
