ECU chipping
Can anyone tell me or give info on how to chip my ECU and what to use to get into my ECU? I have a 2000 Acura Integra GS-R 5 Speed with a LS Motor in it. And another thing, also I need to know how to remove my governor.
You shouldn't have a governor if it is a USDM ecu. Why do you want to chip your ecu? All the piggyback systems do is dump in more fuel causing your gas mileage to suffer more than anything.
since you have a 2000 GSR you cant really chip a OBD2 ECU, Your option are to go OBD1 with a P75 and a OBD2 to OBD1 conversion harness, or you can get a P06 ECU chip it and use a conversion harness.
for the software on tuning, you can use Crome, Uberdata, Neptune(you're going to have to find someone that is license to do this for you)
If you want to do this yourself you're going to need a chip kit, and a chip burner which can be purchased from moates.net
if you are afriad to do this then sent your ECU to one of the H-T ecu chipping guy such as JKtuning or Kenji..
But for more information check out PGMFI.org Dont buy those prechip kit on Ebay its total JUNK.
