E-BRAKE HELP
Hey guys,
I have noticed lately that my e-brake handle has more play in it... it rasies are 2 inches before the first click.. before it was like 1inch or so...
so I took the arm rest off and I see the linkages.. there is the large silver peice in the middle that have the 2 wires on it... it seems to be croket not stright.. is this normal?
Thanks
Gordie

aren't the two wires going to rear break lines? shouldn't they be equal,
Also is there another way to tighten but the bolt?
Thanks

Gordie </TD></TR></TABLE>Yeah, they should be equal, but nothing's ever perfect. If one cable sticks or something, then the other will pull back more. You adjust them so the levers (back on the caliper) are just about at their stops. With age & heat, those springs back at the caliper get weaker as the cable corrodes...
The auto-adjuster is inside the caliper, you can't really adjust that. But it can screw up.
