dxj's DA9 Build thread
Hi the name is Dante, I'm new to H-T but not to Honda's. I recently picked up a DA9 shell for $250. Came with everything although the front bumper, headlights, and steering column were off and it came with alteza tail lights
. I want this to be more of a ground up build as opposed to slapping together the cheapest parts I can find around town. I DD a 1990 CRX Si with a JDM B16A so I don't want to be cruising around in another beater Honda. I thought about putting money into the rex but it's so hard since I have to drive it around everyday.
Thus I have turned to the wonderful world of Integra's, although I'm not a fan of 3rd gens the DA9 looks aggressive while still being able to hold enough style to fit me nicely. My goal with this car is to get a sponsor by my 21st birthday which is in 27 months (I'm 18 as of right now). And for anyone who is wondering no my parents do not give me money to buy things for my car, although my mom is nice enough to let me store and work on the teggy in her garage as I live with a friend of mine in an apartment and work for my money.
To do list:
Enough talking and on to the pictures
enjoy
Bringing it home.

On the trailor

In the driveway

Interior

Gutted the plastics and seats for a nice cleaning and going to prep for paint

Even my girlfriend is giving me a hand on cleaning rear plastics

Rims

Friends teggy in the background. We're doing a auto to manual conversion in his.

As of right now just stripping it down, first thing I'm ordering is the RHD clip for it. Then I'm going to send it to my uncles bodyshop to get the body straight, shave the bay then paint it.
Not sure of what I want to do with the powertrain as of right now.

. My 1st car was a black 91 manual DA9 2 yrs ago.
Yeah, money is hard right now but within the next two weeks I'll be starting my new job and making a lot more money than I am now
But I would like a job as an auto tech to get the knowledge that I lack. Although I put a B16 in my rex with a 52 step guide I am sure there is a lot to learn. :p
