dumb emmissions question
I live in FL so i don't have emmisions. However i may be moving somewhere that may. So before i buy anything i would like to know if i have to look for a carb sticker on cat back exhaust?

Re: dumb emmissions question (tegraLS97)
Well, here in Pennsyltucky, we have 5-10 counties with emmission testing. And, beginning Thursday, in all other counties the vehicle must have all the pollution control stuff still on the car in order to pass the normal state safety inspection. So, , the cat converter must be on the car, the air pump must be on the car, etc - if it was so equipped or otherwise it gets no inspection sticker. It doesn't necessarily have to work but it's gotta be on there. This is a huge issue for those who have altered their exhaust (removed the cat converter), etc.
I have no idea what the other states are doing. I'm guessing this is the trend though.
I hope you're not moving from FL to PA, though

carb means California Air Resource Board or something like that
I beleive ti's a ca only designation but becuase they're the strictist it's usually a safe bet to use stuff they approve in other states
however in VA technically ANY aftermarket exhaust is illegal
but I know plenty of people that pass the tailpipe test with an aftermarket exhaust
