Driver's Water Leak
I know you guys probably hate to see this again, but I tried searching and found the (apparently more common) passenger side and hatch water leak threads plus a few off the wall suggestions (water through windows and gas door, for example).
A friend of mine is having trouble now.
'98 Integra coupe (with moonroof)
The water comes into the driver's side. It's pooling in the rear passenger foot area, but that is likely because the car is parked almost always on an incline.
That was where it was washed too, and thus the new water being there.
The water also soaked the driver's foot area, but not as badly (again, probably because of the incline the car is parked on). The hatch floor is dry.
Any suggestions? My friend is in a poor mood because of this and I'd really like to help him out, but Integras just aren't my thing.
We can't tear the interior out right now (interior was recently ALL out and saw no immediate problems and now my friend is unwilling to deal with tearing it out right after all that), so I can't check anything right away.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated though!
I'll try to list them here:
- Moonroof drain tubes
- Firewall plugs (which ones?)
- Body sealer (ideas on where exactly?)
- Window seals
Cliffs:
- '98 Integra coupe (w/moonroof) has water on driver's side front and rear floor.
- Hatch area is dry.
- Need ideas to help my friend with his car!

My friends yota had a A\C evaporator line leak in the pass. cab might want to check under the dash for any leaks.
also check the widow seal on the out side of the car, the black strip across the outside window make sure its not all crumbled up ont the edges.
GOOD LUCK.....

Thanks for the suggestion anyway though.
None of the window seals appear damaged or aged enough to cause a leak. There are no cracks.

I really wish we had known about all of this when the car was torn apart. It would have been much easier to figure this out when the interior wasn't in.
I have a similar problem but it was only when I went through the car wash and it was just a few drops but it seems like it was slipping through a crack in the weather stripping. See if his weather strip around the door is damaged or something.
i have had the same problem now for about a year and a half and so far i have found out a few things. the car is a 2000 ls. if you pop the hood and look by the hinges there are some like 1/4" holes, well after i plugged them it stopped on the passengers side and still continued on the drivers side. everything i have found says that you have to pull the fenders, then there are a bunch of spot welds to drill, then when you take this cover off, there isa channel that is supposed to drain the water that runs down the corners of the windshield out and away from the car. if they leak then you have to get them welded.
get your friend to sit in the car with the carpet out. take that car to a carwash and spray the **** out of around the window area to make sure it's not the seals. if not. take it to your house and hit every inch with water hose.
did that today, the water is comming in the corners of each footwell. i thought it had finished on the passengers side but i guess not... i guess i need to learn how to weld??
well yea that would work i didnt think about that. heres my question, when you pull the fender, theres like 25 - 30 spot welds and then a cover comes off to reveal the leak. how would i attach that cover back on? not just jb weld??
my friend had a similar problem in his 93 gs. it ended up being that the tube where the sunroof drains was pluged so it would cause the water to overflow then it would leak to the driver side.
check that out, thats most likely the cause of his problem.

here i found this, this is basicaly the same concept but on the rear drivers side.
