Does anyone know what this could be....
Hi,
I was wondering, sometimes when I'm starting my car, it doesn't start right away.
It turns over really slowly or does not start sometimes. It takes another turn of the key for it to start. I was wondering if anyone knows what the problem can be? I have a Viper alarm. Could it be the alarm? or battery? or starter?
thanks.

What kinda noise is it making?? If its making a clicking noise, and your stereo and **** still turn on its most likely your starter. But i need more info. What year teg u have and how many miles?
I have the same problem on my 93 Teg auto. It won't run at all for 2 seconds then BAM the engine starts. I had to jump start it few times in the past year. I'm thinking it could be the starter motor...not sure. Anyone have any idea?
what is the condition of your battery and charging system? have you let your battery drain/die to the point where it won't start your vehicle before? I think it loses charge/load capacity each time you let it drain/die like that (not use the car, run the stereo w/ motor off/kill battery, etc)...
I notice that on my other car that I don't like using much... if I don't use it for a few days.. it take about 6-8 slow cranks for it to finally start.. after starting it and driving to my destination it starts up fine/quick again.. so I think it may be a weak battery or maybe your starter but on a 2K1 that'd be pretty quick for the starter... try getting your battery/charging system load tested.. they do this for free at most autopart stores..
