do i need this thing used to be a l shaped plug looking thing but had no line and i saw some pictures with some that went from there to the mani do i need this

well the damn guy that put my car alarm in broke the ****** anyone know where i can get a new one at and if i get a new one do i just put breathers on the 2 ends or hoses

I'd use a hose and avoid those little filters.

 

Its the pcv valve, (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) Its designed to allow blow by gases to be redirected into the intake. Whatever you do don't plug it up. It can cause excessive oil pressure which can blow out oil seals. You can by a new pcv valve from the stealer ship for cheap. Replace it

 

its the PCV, so you need it. no breathers go there.

 

YUP PCV. Its cheap...about 2.50 at the parts store.

 

does your car idle high or does it jump?

 

yea it it does i cant really remeber right now. i got the motor out of the car but when it was in it did until it warmed up. but somone told me it was a my iac which i took out and cleaned and it stopped from all the time and just did it until it warmed up. so i can get this part from a parts store advanced auto, autozone, etc....
