Default dizzy upgrade?

i have had dizzy problems twice in the last six months with my car. at first i guess a screw came out on the rotor and was causing tons of crap to happen, misfire, etc etc.

now its doig it again but i cant find the problem. this may sound stupid, who knows, but is there a point where that factory dizzy, etc not be able to handle the racing conditions? or is it built a little more hardcore than that? cause these problems always come up after running at the track and its not like i'm running that fast!

any ideas?

Its not an OEM dizzy problem. If you were pushing alot of boost you might regap your plugs, but thats about it. Did you replace the dizzy after the first issue? Did the loose screw cause something else in the dizzy to get messed up? Have you tried a new dizzy?

Honda ignition systems are top notch. The components inside can be replaced to keep it running perfect. But there are a couple things that can go wrong with the distributor. One is the shaft bearing can wear and cause problems. This can sometimes be the cause of why the rotor screw works itself loose. Another is a sensor that can fail and can not be replaced so with either of these two problems, the distributor being replaced is usually the best option.

ok, well i figured something came loose because it happened immediated after i left the track, so i blamed it on abuse, but before, the dizzy was not replaced, just new screw and cap i think. and now when i look in it, i see noticable wear and tear. i know i'm losing power though and it sucks really bad having a car with a messed up dizzy.
