just put cyl #1 at tdc (top dead center), do this by lining up the crank pulley line with the line on the plastic timing cover (with a 19mm socket on the crank pulley bolt. make sure the car's in neutral w/ the e/brake on). pull the distributor cap.

the rotor will be pointing at #1 or #4. assume its #1, go ahead and put the wires on the cap with the cap off. firing order, looking at the cap, will go 1,3,4,2, in a clockwise order, so put the longest wire on 1, then put the second shortest wire (#3) on the next terminal in a clockwise pattern, then #4, the shortest, then 2. put the cap on, snug a couple screws, snap the wires in place on the plugs, and try to fire the car. if it runs smooth, you're good. if it doesn't, the rotor was pointing at #4. you're "180 out". you need to swap wires two places. it should run fine.

i'm sure omeone can just throw you a "#1 is at the bottom" or somethin, i just can't remember

or you could go out and buy the helems book and it showes you what wire goes where and you don't have to mess around with TDC crap
