Distributor making screeching noises.
Your distributor bearing in the subassembly is failing. You will need to replace your distributor subassembly, or it will eventually freeze and could cause some serious damage. Best of luck.
does it only do it when it warms up
does it do it when you shift
My 94 gs-r makes a noise when you shift and when you are in gear after is warms up. It sounds like a rasping or screech, it is hard to discribe
Thanks
Justin

wel....at first....jus outta nowhere today....it screeched really loud when it first started. Then afterwards..went away...forawhile. I thought it wuz my timing, so i checked my timing and moved the distributor around...and the noise is there now when its already warmed. But not as loud as it wuz the first time. the sound is always there, but sometimes loud and sometimes soft.
It's probably your distributor bearing. I've got one for sale, still in plastic bag and box. I bought it from A & H Motorsport for $80. It's yours for $50. Let me know if you're interested.
