Distributor Cap and Rotor Question
hey, my car died on the way to school this morning, so i had AAA tow it to a shop
they said the distributor cap and rotor are gone, and it'll be $367 for parts.
I said i'll call them back.
I came to look up some prices for a dizzy cap and rotor,
And basically I found...
~$160 on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...QrdZ1
and then I found this
MSD cap and rotor,
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...QrdZ1
And I also found this at Autozone. http://autozone.com/servlet/Ui...C%7EB
So, am I missing something as far as what you're actually buying?

wtf if its the rotor cap and rotor its only gonna cost u a good 40-50 bucks maybe even cheaper. UNLESS they're talking about the whole distributor than yea it could range from like 240-300 bucks. but if its the rotor and cap i think u should just tkae the car to your house and buy them from a local parts store and install em yourself to save labor charges because swapping those out are easy as hell
you didnt mentioned the year and engine of car

$367 for a cap and rotor?? HAHAHAHA now that's getting rammed in the ***! Do like the guy above said. Buy the parts new from autozone or something. It's simple to replace a cap and rotor yourself.

dont buy aftermarker. use OEM only. i didnt have $ to purchase a brand new distributor/rotor/cap when mine dizzy went nuts so i bought aftermarket and for past 5 months my CEL light has been on for code #9 *cylinder sensor* and a cylinder sensor on obd1 is the crank sensor inside the dizzy. so stick with OEM rotor/cap or else your going to bump into some problems like me.
anyone got a OEM obd1 gsr dizzy for sale?
