Take that EEPROM chip out of your car immediately. Its a knockoff chip and is worthless. DINAN only does stuff for the Krauts, not for japanese cars.

Those ebay chips are always bad for your car as all they do is raise the rev limit, dump more fuel and advance ignition timing. They are a bad plan.

yes it probably is.
just because some 'shop' installed it doesn't mean it's the best thing since sliced bread.

A good reputable tuner/shop wouldn't install that crap...as Dinan is a tuner for BMW and not Honda.

Might not be a knock off. I remeber Dinan breifly making stuff for Honda/Acura. Just trying to expand there market base, but they didn't do so well with it.

I remember Dinan making chips for Honda's, just couldn't find a good resource to back it up. Here is a so-so one.

From the looks of it, the other half of your comment is correct.

That's what I thought too.....but I have come across 2 Genuine Dinan chipped p28 ecu's. They came with labels, part numbers, and different stages. I already deleted the pictures I had of them, but according to my research a while back, Dinan did get into the import scene for a little while, but did not last long.

But, as the others have mentioned, it could be one of those knock off ebay chips so I'd be careful. I highly doubt the chip was programmed/tuned according to your motor and mods.
