Default How to put a chip in

I was trying to put a chip in my 94 gsr ecu and in the instrustions it says put the chips in which i did and to put a jumper on j10. There is no j10 where the instrustions say to put the jumper and next to it there is a j1. So im wondering if anyone has put a chip in before and had the same problem.

sounds like it......

basically, you add a jumper to the j1, solder in the 74hc373 rom to its location, solder in the socket, then plug in the chip making sure its going in the right direction. There is a notch on one end of the chip...this end should be facing towards the plug/harness of the ecu.

massed produced, generic map that basically dumps HELL OF A LOT OF unused fuel, causing your motor to run very rich, even some times causing damage. Plus, there's a guy in the all motor forum who bought one of these ebay chips, as well as the turbonator, then hopped on the dyno. He lost power with the ebay chip, and lost power with the turbonator....posted dyno graphs, case closed.

Because you want to tune it and get the most power out of your engine after you've put quality parts in it, not rev higher.

Why would you want to rev higher? Have you upraded you valvetrain, and have other work done where you actually make power that high? Otherwise there's no reason to rev higher than the recommended redline.
