Default differential bearing

Just wanted to know if any you guys have experienced problems with your differential bearing, cause my has gone bad. Just wanted to know if ya know how hard it is to replace and is it worth it. Oh and what causes a a differential bearing to go bad.

How do you know it is the diff bearings? They are not that easy to replace.

i know its the differential bearing b/c i took it to a transmission place and they told me that noise and thump i had was coming from the transmission, on top of that there is play at the transmission side of the axle.
